Need Guidance on Coal-Trol Settings

I just bought a Leisure Line Hyfire II with a Coal-Trol -- I don't have a manual for either one. The coal-trol is new to me. I think I have everything figured out except one thing on the regular setup menu. I have the min and max set at 6 and 45 and that seems to be working good. I also have the CFT at 8. The one setting says FZT -- not sure if it's a Z but it's shaped like one. you can go from 1 to 99 on the setting. I just don't know what it stands for. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome! The factory setting are usually pretty good to start with. if it is idling good, the MIN is set correctly. If you are maxing out and pushing coals off the end on a full burn, back it down a couple points at time. Sometimes you have to Dial them in for each stove.

Check http://www.CoalTroldigital.com Website for the instruction manuals online for your model, also check the top thread in this section for features and settings.

Coal-Trol V3 Firmware Features

Probabably SFT? - Supplemental Fan Threshold.Unless you have the external relay outputs to control your gas/oil furnace fan, don't worry about it.

Enjoy!

FZT is not a setting in the SETUP or advanced menus. Not in current or any earlier revisions that I remember. SFT, as WNY mentioned, is the closest match, but it is located in the advanced menu, not the standard SETUP menu.

If you are definitely seeing "FZT" somewhere, or something else not covered in the manual (link below) or the "V3 firmware features" page that WNY linked to, please give us a call at 315-299-3589 to figure out what is going and what, if anything, needs to be done to resolve a problem. Hopefully you're just remembering the wrong screen details and everything is fine.
