It is a top vent, but it is not direct vented. I have it hooked to a masonry tile lined chimney

why do none of supplied pipe pieces fit over the 4" stack. losing patience. is there a specific name for a piece that does fit there?

also, does the perforated end of the thimble belong inside or out?

Fasteddie,

Not sure what you mean regarding the 4 inch stack. My flue exit on my k-lite is 6 inch.

the direct vents have a 4" exhaust stack branching off of the 6". it's off-center to the left also after I had everything centered perfectly in my pre-arrival efforts.
