4/1 coal dust to old bag of portland, this was the result of 1/2 of a 5 gallon bucket, mixed semi thick with a hole hawg and wipper, dry under plastic for a week.alpineboard wrote:

My '03 Glenwood range. Dinner being cooked by the girlfriend, while the "lads" are trying to stay warm, . . and not get stepped on. Makes having a coal kitchen stove even better having someone who grew up learning to cook on one like it. She always turns out some fantastic meals with it !!!!!
She also gave me the Santa lump of coal tin as a joke one Christmas. And, she added a few more pieces of coal from her parents coal bin. Guess I'd been especially naughty that year ?

Naughty, perhaps! I like the symbolism of gifting you some of her parents coal. Kind of like moving the warmth and security of their hearth to yours. My parents did the same thing when my wife and I built our first house. They brought a container full of ashes from their fireplace to be placed in ours. It was a tender moment
