When I first started using the Coal Trol I set mine up to lower temp at night and then come up at 5 am. Like your experience, the overshoot was more than desired. I solved the problem by setting the temp to one constant temp, with no setback.

The coal trol is a great device, no more guessing and adjusting feed rates.

Mine works properly, with no overshoot. Can the heated air reach the thermostat easily?
