So, trying to figure out how the fire works in my soon to be Keystoker...is the following correct?

When the stove is at idle there should be a one inch thick line of burning coal located towards the back of the unit where the first combustion blower air holes start with the rest of the grate filled with ash....likewise at full throttle the fire spreads towards the front of the grate over all the air holes with only one inch of ash at the front and the rest of the grate filled with burning coal. When I set it back to idle the coal should shring back into the back of the grate again with that 1 inch wide line of coal. Correct?

Thanks

Yup, that is typical with most stoker stove operation. Both my Keystoker and Hyfire work that way.
