Coal Fines

Can someone please tell me what they are and how they impact a stoker performance? Thanks

coal fines = coal dust

you need to clean the fines out of some/all of the bed type stokers (which is most of them except the AA, EFM, & AHS).

the fines collect under the grates. Usually cleaning once a season is good.
