Does anyone know if it is alright to change the thermostat that came with my Alaska 140? The one that was provided isnt as pleasing to the eye as the wifey would like.

if a standard Honeywell or equal (24VAC), they you can use just about anything. I changed my Keystoker one out to a LUX Digital Setback one.

Not sure if it was Lux or some other brand but google them to be sure. The one model, when the batteries go dead, sent the temp up through the roof instead of dropping it to zero. People were coming home to a 90 degree house.
