If you have a coal fire going, and fuel on the grate,, the combustion blower must be restricted or turning off to allow the fire to go out.

Found the problem! It was the grate was not in all the way! We forgot to check it after we moved it before we hook the chimney. Can not believe it! It is running great after 8 tries with no luck we are up and running. Thanks for all your help! If you all did not have us checking things out who knows how long it would have taken. Thanks

So with the grate loose, the combustion air was not getting to the fire through the holes in the grate,, but instead, the combustion air was leaking out around the bottom of the grate where it sits on the stoker frame..
Glad you found the problem.
