Well I finally did it. I modified my Reading RSFD-07. Installed a full time, variable speed combustion blower. I started it up today. The heat output seems hotter than last year. The ash has hardly any unburnt pieces of coal. I also tied it into existing FHA ductwork. House is a little warm and I am not even pushing the feed rate yet. I got the idea from Matthaus, how he did his one stoker. Even got the fan from him. This board is a great source of knowledge, and every one seems to share willingly. Well off to check on the stove before bed. JPD

Glad to see you got it installed, you should be able to notice less unburnt coal throughout the winter season in all conditions. :)

Yes I played around for a few days and got it ready. I like seeing the ash without pieces of unburnt coal. And the ability to increase air flow when necessary. Also see I hit the submit button twice before. I guess thats my sign to get some sleep.

I fixed that double post for you. :D

Sounds like you have sucessfully converted your TriBurner to the more modern burner design.
