How much oil did you burn last season?? 180 gallons of oil is roughly equal to one ton of coal.

I am not exactly sure but it was probably around 600 gallons (which I assume would be equal to just over 3 ton of coal) or so from Nov. 1 into the beginning of May - but that was with a house temp of 67 - 69 most of the time and the wife was freezing and miserable....I believe right now fuel oil is at least $3.80 + per gallon in our area.....while bagged coal is around 280 per ton / bulk around 240 per ton
