Hi my harman dvc 500 I got an alarm at 2am for carbon monoxide it was reading 43 on the meter. Got fresh air and shut the stove down. I just cleaned it and the pipe all out a few days ago and this was the first run of the season it ran fine for 10 hours before this.
This stove has also been the stove from hell I purchased it used and tried everything possible all new gaskets everywhere I could find new control board all new probes and many other parts before I finally found the problem which was my fan that was wired incorrectly from the factory and spinning in reverse the previous owner claimed of it not being able to heat properly too.
But once I fixed it I got a whole season with no issues.
What are some things I should be looking at for the co2 leak now thanks

Double check vent /thimble . Dollar bill test all gaskets , partially empty hoppers can leak a lot easier than full

Hi glad you have a detector !!! Have you taken apart the exhaust behind the ash pan and cleaned that all out including the fan blades ? I have found ash built up in there and restricts the exhaust be safe

Yes I did total clean out on it the only thing I noticed was my grates got pushed out so it was filling up below my ash grate in that clean out area. I cemented the grates back down and ran it for about 12 hours yesterday and didn’t seem to have any issues and readying 0 on the detector

You did fantastic ! Good job I think your going to love this stove and the heat it produces ! I try and vacuum mine out about once a month or so to keep it running good, the sensor in the exhaust needs to be carefully cleaned and reinstalled (best to do that before starting for the year) because it’s in the exhaust it will get ash built up on it

I do not have a manometer on the Harman can you put one on the dvc 500? it’s a direct vent stove just like a pellet stove it has a fan that pulls the smoke and pushes it through the exhaust

Yes, absolutely if you are able to adjust the air up and down? With pushing exhaust everything downstream can become pressurized and leak where not sealed tite.

Doesn’t need to be a dedicated manometer. Just move from one stove to another as needed.
