- Hot Air Coal Stoker Furnace: Readinf
Reading Susquehanna using to much coal for heat being produced. I have a barometric damper installed and on the highest setting allowing the most outside air into the chimney. The chimney still gets extremely hot and the stove does not produce a lot of heat. Im going through 80 pounds a day for keep the house 65 its 1200 sq ft single floor. A friends alaska 140 set up the same way goes through less then a bag keeping his house over 70 degrees and his house is larger and not as insulated. Stove chimney pipe is warm to the touch. Any ideas on what can be done to make this more efficient and keep more heat from escaping out the chimney. Ive though about adding a manual damper to try and slow is down. Help
