Fork Gap - How to correct the gap?

Hot Air Coal Stoker Furnace: Harman Stoker Super Magnum
Coal Size/Type: Rice

I'm using a Harman Super Mag Stoker. I keep reading about the fork gap and the measurement it should be; how do I bend these so that the gap is correct? It's solid steel.

I've heard about people successfully using a large c- clamp... Position it in the middle of the fork and take your time.
