Ok so if you have been following along the idea of getting the proper gauge SS power vent has been shot down due to price. So while the old direct vent still works well we are going to stick with that this year and into the future until it dies. Thought about flexible 316 SS liner but 4-12 week back order which means we have no idea.
So looking for alternate ideas and materials....
What vent pipe to use for 4" Alaska direct vent

Update, we went with 4" pellet vent with 304 stainless for the inside pipe. Yes I know it won't last as long as 316 but we only use the stove 3 days a week. Pros: Can interlock the pieces with less chance for a leak, Cons: 304 vs 316 stainless steel will shorten life.

No metallurgist here but seems that SS with TI in the mix makes for long lasting corrosion protection.
