I have a new to me Harman dvc 500 the previous owner said it worked great but wouldn’t run on full high I figured it was because the grates were not cemented down so I cemented the grates got a new door gaskets, exhaust gasket, esp sensor room temp sensor. And all new piping. I ran the stove wide open on stove temp wide open for 12 hours only raised the temperature one degree. I then switched to room temp and ran wide open for another 12 hours with the same outcome. The fire does not go out it stays lite but does not push much coal over the ramp and most of the hot coals are in the back closer to the hopper than it is the front of the grates. What else should I try? Thanks!!!

Sounds like pusher mechanism. Search for posts about repairing pusher til the smart stoker guys show up.

Is there a way to just test this? It does work fine when the stove is empty I can see it rotating and working fine but I’m not sure what it’s doing when coal is in there. Can I put some coal in and run it in test for a while to see if it’s pushing coal or not? .
I also see a TCP probe but cannot find that part anywhere

I remember reading how it can move but not in the correct pattern to move the coal. If you have it shut down, maybe it's something worth checking out to at least rule out.

Seems as though running with no fire on a manual setting would tell you if it's working. Coal should build up and move across the grate unless there's a flame or heat sensor to shut it down. Do you have a manual? Maybe there's a trouble shooting section.

Is this one of those stoves with the rheostats that go wonky??

If so you might get lucky with the aerosol contact cleaner…otherwise they’ll need replaced.

Mcgeiver can this a normal issue with these? So upon some further research the previous owner was actually the second owner of this stove and I replaced the esp probe black wires same as what was on it but according to my model number0081819 it should be red wires? I looked at the circuit board and I actually don’t have any dip switches on this to change out to change the settings for the different colored esp sensors. So maybe that was the issue now in test mode everything runs fine but when I plug it in for room temp or stove temp I get a 4 blink status and nothing else happens?

4 Blinks: Can occur only in Room Temp Mode and indicates Room Sensing Probe failed or not installed. If a Room Sensing Probe is then installed, the status light will automatically reset

It was working fine and is a new room sensor so I’m not sure I’m gonna check to see if my pellet stove is the same part number and try that but it gives me the same 4 blinks in stove temp mode as well

Can you get ohm reading of probe alone??
Read Both probes if there are 2.

So I got a new board, new room sensor, new tcp red sensor, new esp red sensor all oem Harman parts. It fired right up seemed no blinking lights now. I have it on stove temps max settings currently and it still hasn’t pushed a ton of heat over the last few hours and doesn’t seem to be feeding constantly like I would think it should be on max settings.

Hmmm, more heat comes from burning more coal.

On max settings wouldnt it be pushing unburned coal over the grate basically?

Isn't this one of the Harman stoves with the feed fork that can spread open and limit feeding?

*Edit*Here's one thread that discusses it:
