I always thought my ComfortMax stoves rating of 75,000 BTUH was a rather big joke. And the same joke applies about equally to all USA made stoves BTUH ratings. Cut the ratings in half and then I begin to feel much better about them.
For my stove, burning about 74 lbs. of coal per day hits ~half of 75,000 BTUH on an input basis.

I agree with you Larry. Its not talked about much, but there's a lot of disappointed and bitter radiant stoker owners. I've had my fair share of PM's from board members over the last ten years.lsayre wrote: ↑Sun. Feb. 21, 2021 9:49 amI always thought my ComfortMax stoves rating of 75,000 BTUH was a rather big joke.
