I always thought my ComfortMax stoves rating of 75,000 BTUH was a rather big joke. And the same joke applies about equally to all USA made stoves BTUH ratings. Cut the ratings in half and then I begin to feel much better about them.

For my stove, burning about 74 lbs. of coal per day hits ~half of 75,000 BTUH on an input basis.

That's not a joke Larry!! That's just reality. I'm figurin my 50-93 puts out all she can when & where needed & does a damn good job heatin the old homestead. :)

I've never seen DS advertise BTUH, only BTU. Will your stove hold 75,000 BTU of coal? Sure it will. :D

I agree with you Larry. Its not talked about much, but there's a lot of disappointed and bitter radiant stoker owners. I've had my fair share of PM's from board members over the last ten years.
