Best Way to Build a Wall Behind the Stove

If you're building a noncombustible wall behind your stove do you need to have a 1" gap between it and the combustible wall? Do you guys recommend it over having a noncombustible attached directly to the interior wall? Also if I am to put that man made half rock that you just cement up would using cement board behind it be safe as long as I was still the recommended distance from the wall?

If you stove is not already jacketed, just stick a thin piece of plate steel a few inches behind it & you'll be all set.

What about the floor, can I use cement board and put done a tile floor underneath the stove? Would that be enough of a noncombustible flooring to past inspection?
