You Nailed it, it IS a Fasco 50747-D500!

You all make me feel much less crazy. I was so mad last night. I have a bulging disc in my back, so the bending, twisting, dropping screws, trying to keep the fire going while removing oiling, etc.....I TOTALLY felt like Ralphy's Dad all spitting and sputtering with his coal store in A Christmas Story.

I will hunt another fan down.

If your existing blower has a little flap to adjust airflow (Like mine below), you should be able to just swap the entire fan housing of the existing to the new blower. It's held on by two screws.

Amazon can't get it to me until 12/28. I will need to check with our "semi-local" dealer and see if they have one. If they don't, what other business would carry such a part? Is it a widely used part?

eBay would have one, but shipping is the issue this time of year. Can you limp along with the old one for a week more? The oil you added yesterday may penetrate a little more to give you some leeway.

How many drops of oil did you add yesterday? Since you're replacing it anyway, you could probably get away with a drop or two more to help loosen it up.

It is squealing SO LOUD it is hard to bear with it. I will try the local stove places around and see if they have it.

Would an electric supply place carry something like this?

These products use bronze bushings. Once they wear the shaft obits in the bushing making the squeal. A speed control might slow the fan enough to stop the harmonic orbit.
You could try electricmotorwarehouse.com but I think shipping will still be a problem.

A stove shop may carry it, not sure about a normal supply house.

FYI...I called our local electrical supply and they will have the blower for me by around noon tomorrow so I can get it reattached and running for Christmas! Looks like it's baseboard electric for a bit (hides his head in shame). ;)

You guys are awesome. Thanks for walking me through things.

Glad you found one.
sometimes they do come back to life, I had one stop from sitting all summer, let it soak real good with penetrating oil (PB Blaster) and finally got it turning and running, kept it oiled good now. I did get another one, so this one is a backup now. I do plug it in once in a while to make sure it runs. LOL

I will oil it up and let it sit for a while. Like I said, it started up and ran fine before I put it back on the stove. Who knows what's going on with it, I'm guessing it is warped in some way.
