Can you post a pic of the wiring diagram and explain how your setup is different from it.

You may leave out that humidstat altogether.
Usually there is an option to add a "current sensor" to one leg of the blower wires. That would then wire in to start and stop the humidifier 24VAC in harmony with each blower cycle.
Do realize that this arrangement is not going to allow auto shut off by humidstat as it was ommitted...worst case simply shut it down if/when windows begin to show signs of water condensation (rarely) ...or better yet if weather temps are predicted to drop you may then anticipate to turn humidifier off till percentage of moisture lowers or else if extra cold weather subsides.
I could provide a reference to the "current sensor" commonly used for such a installation...

Which wiring diagram did you use and where did you connect wires?

Unfamiliar with the coal trol stat as I’m a handfired guy. But, for your humidifier all you need is a 24v source switched by the humidistat. If there is no 24v on the unit. You could put in a small 24v transformer. Hook one side of the transformer directly to the solenoid and run the other side of the transformer to the humidistat and then from the humidistat to the solenoid. To disable the humidifier when the fan is not running you could place a relay on either wire feeding the solenoid as well and wire it through the normally open contacts. Power the 115v relay coil off of the blower. When blower runs relay calls and closes the switch. When humidity level drops below set value, the switch closes, completes the circuit, and energizes the solenoid. If the blower stops or humidity level is satisfied, the 24v circuit to the solenoid coil is broken And the humidifier stops
