I am putting in a new chimney and EFM, if i have the chimney rather have the better unit.
Your almost there!

Now we just have to convince you to get a boiler rather than the hot air unit!

The guy that sold me the EFM keeps talking to me about a boiler.

I told him I have duct work, he explained to me how i could run a coil in the duct-work, and heat my hot water.

I do not get it.

Boiler heats DHW via tankless coil or indirect water heater. Boiler water also heats water-to-air heat exchange coil in ductwork.

It's pretty easy.

These are water to air heat exchangers. Some people just call it a coil.

You can cut a rectangular hole in your duct work and insert the heat exchanger. You need a blower to circulate air through your house. Usually there is an excising oil or gas furnace that as a blower in it.

Then you plumb the boiler water supply and return to the heat exchanger.

My EFM 350 feeds a heat exchanger in my forced hot air system. It works very well. The boiler also feeds my kitchen zone (1 radiator and 1 kick space heater), and makes domestic hot water. It runs all year.
