And the fan blades themselves. You can use an old toothbrush. The cupped blades collect pet hair and dust and can cut the airflow by more than half.

Have oiled and cleaned wheel with toothbrush. Have also cleaned under grate. carpet sliding in and out without problem. going to turn feed rate down on coaltrol and turn red feeder on chute to push more coal and see if that does anything. Also I but level on stove its a quarter inch low falling towards ash bucket don't know if that would do anything

I took a register filter and put it over the fan intake, slowed the cfm some and the burn and heat got better. Are you sure you have rice coal? I have gotten some thats closer to buckwheat and had the same thing you have. I think they are mixing it. Here is a coal size chart you can compare what you have.

Good luck, Stant

i would back off the feeder screw one turn at a time first rather than adjust the coal trol. give it a day or so for each adjustment before you make more.
also you will never get all the coal to burn, just the nature of the design.

Have you cleaned out the air holes in the grate? I use a finishing nail.
