Thanks Coal berner. I'll be getting in touch with Alaska. I was shocked when they had told me the price. My jaw just about hit the floor. The insides are fairly rusty,the outside is a bit more rusted than it appeared in the pic. I checked the bottom because it looked as if it had been sitting in water at times, it was still solid.
The stove had been on Craigslist for a month. No price was listed, just said make offer. I think that is a big turn off for people. I figured what the heck, I emailed them and asked what would be the rock bottom price they would accept. I'm sure they were looking for more but after being listed for a month they probably just wanted it gone.
I think I will try to find someone to sandblast the stove body inside and out for a reasonable price. If not them it will need a lot of elbow grease. LOL. But it will be well worth it.
