Hot Air Coal Stoker Stove: Alaska Channing III

Post by AlexanderDelarge » Sun. Dec. 22, 2019 2:14 pm

The following are the gaskets I am replacing on a used Alaska Channing III. I just want to make sure I have them all. I don’t want to assume that the previous owner did everything to specification. For example, he just had a tape gasket on the back of the grate not a strong back. So I’m looking to confirm the type of gasket, the location of the gasket , the length, and any special orientation or application of it. For example, the channel gasket in the grate channel: do I put it on the male or female part of the channel and which side faces up?

3/8" Rope Gasket around the Feeder Housing where it bolts to the stove
Hopper Gasket (Channel?) on the Feeder Housing where the hopper sits
2' X Channel Gasket on the Grate Gasket
StrongBack gasket between the grate and the feeder housing
¾ “ Rope gasket on in the channel of top and bottom doors
Channel Gasket between blower fan and direct vent housing (not using with my setup)
Channel gasket around the glass window (I left the gasket there as I’m concerned I would break the glass trying to free it).

Tape gasket around the 6” exhaust where external stove pipes connect?

Anything else?
