So the Kast Console I found that I thought was gonna heat my whole house is actually a Kast Console I whith a lowly 40,000 btus of heating capacity. I imagine I would be pushing it trying to heat 1800sqft on a cold witer day? The Chubby is hard pressed when it get's into the single digits. and that is 60,000 btu.

IIRC the older burners were rated at 38k btu/hr, and that was input, not heat output. Reasonably effective as a room or small area heater, but not intended to heat a whole house.

That's too bad. Thought it was a KC II for sure. Oh well. I guess I'll add it to the classifieds.

It's side mounted. That's Ok, I got it free. I'll get it to somebody who needs some heat.
