So I am due to pick up a Kast Console II I found on FB Marketplace later this evening. Wondering what I should do to go through it prior to installation in my fireplace? It looks ok. The current owner just needs it gone, reports it works well and that he was unable to install it in his flue per building inspector.
Plan is to clean, repaint, thurough cleaning, and replace worn parts.
What needs lubrication or replacement on a regular basis?
Thanks!
I'll try to post a picture. And more when I get it.

i have one that no one wants. i had it listed here and on facebook for 100 obo i took it apart and the stove is getting scrapped, i have all the cast iron pieces and the stoker.
convert the triburner design to have a separate combustion fan.
the feed motor is probably going to need to be replaced. my alaska was on its 3rd motor (that i installed) alaska wants too much, you can use a dayton 3m095 gear motor.
get a digital coal trol.

Thanks for the advice. This one needs a little loving. I think I should be able to get a few seasons out of it.
