I'll toss in that when you are ready to get that KA6 installed and going, drop a line.

There is a lot of info on here about the KA6, including some of mine with a lot of pics and documentation that might help.
I just sold my KA6! Unfortunately I might add... But I WILL have a coal boiler at some point, some where! Right now the main decision for coal heat was an unheated basement and the Magnum was quick and effective for that solution. It has my 1800 sqft basement up to 77 degrees with the basement door open to the 1st floor. Yesterday, now it was 45 degrees outside so...it even satisfied my first floor heating requirements(68deg)! Well up until about 8pm last night my heat pump kicked on.

If we elect to stay at this location, there will be coal-fueled hydronic shenanigans!! I will take you up on your offer at that time..and thanks!

Don

No worries. Coal boilers are expensive sitting around as "art pieces" LOL.

Glad your current setup is working for you! Affordable and comfortable heat without too much hassle is the name of the game ;)

Just to wrap this up, there is nothing wrong with my "on" timer. The controller works perfectly...I just couldn't see the adjustment pot arrows on either of the pilot timers. I pulled the jumper off the Tstat terminals and it cycled perfectly. So next, now that I know a bit more, I'll finish the install by modifying my stack and cementing the edges/center of the grates. Then I can tune the baro and check temps/usage.

Next quickie project is to make my temporary coal bin a bit more permanent.

Thanks again,
Don
