Leisure Line Hopper Distribution Fan
Can anyone tell me where I can get a replacement Hopper Distribution Fan? Leisure Line website sells them for $107. Can I get a better deal somewhere else?
Also, this is the second time I'm having to replace this fan In both instances, the fan would begin making a loud rattling type noise for a few days, then it would stop completely. I've tried plugging into the Coal-Trol and directly into the wall outlet, but it still seems to burn out somehow.
Last night, I came home to a burning smell in the house and noticed the fan was dead and the stove running very hot. I plugged the fan into the wall and it ran for a while (loudly), then stopped again. Stove is currently shut down.
Any suggestions?? FYI the stove is a Leisure Line Lil' Heater.

I've had a Lil Heater for 5 years that was bought used and haven't had a problem with the fan motors since i've had it. I clean and oil the motors every year. I would buy the motor from Leisure Line, great people to deal with, American made, and quick delivery. Just my 2 cents.
Otto, how do you oil the motor? The blower fan (at the bottom) has a little hole where I put oil in (haven't had a problem with that....yet). Does the convection fan have a similar hole?
I've also had my stove for about 5 years and bought it used. So far, my only problems have been the convection fan in the hopper.

I would clean the motor by using a vac to clean, and then put a couple drops of 3 in 1 oil in the 2 oil holes.

Most blowers have oil holes, sometimes on the bottom of the case, you have to remove the fan to find them and oil them well.
sometimes under the electrical connector box on them.
