Hey Guys,
I'm firing the furnace for the first time this year and the stoker plate was a little rusted in position. I always clean and seal the firebox, but NJ had a VERY humid summer... so no surprise we got some rust.
after some muscle its moving again on its own.. but my question is.. whats the proper travel distance on a stoker plate?
OR. . being thats its moving by the motor, i would assume its traveling at the correct distance and still not bound up?
any insight to help me sleep better tonight would be helpful

I would clean up the stoker plate with some sand paper and blow out the grit, lube up the the appropriate spots and run it. As long as nothing is binding it should be fine.
