When you make your ash pan I found it is important to have a lip on the front of the pan to make it much easier to get out of the stoker. The one on the top in the pic is an original harman, the one on the bottom was made by a member here. The smaller lip on the bottom one works just fine. I found it useful to be able to lift the pan the little bit needed to clear the bottom edge of the ash pan opening.
