I am new to stokers, and just picked up an older used one. I have a few questions, and figured I would post them here since keystoker isnt open today.
-There appear to be small holes around the door opening. Looks like the convection blower blows air through them. Whats this for?
-When looking in the door next to the chute where the coal burns there is a large square block. The block is one one side between the chute and the chamber wall, but appears to be missing on the other side???
-My stove has the combustion blower and the stoker wired together. There is a fan limit switch for the blowers, a temp switch in the flue, and leads for a thermostat, but there doesnt appear to be any timer to control the idle. How did this setup control idle?
Thanks for any input.

Pa,
The holes are for air to blow on the glass to help keep fly ash off, The temp switch in the flue is your control for idle,

sounds like one of the grates is missing. you need to post a pic of the inside of the stove.
