- Hot Air Coal Stoker Stove: Alaskan Stoker II
- Coal Size/Type: Rice
Hello. I'm fairly new to burning coal. Bought an Alaskan Stoker II used and got rid of the wood stove. At first it was working great but we recently had a power outage and the fire went out. Ever since it was started again it doesn't seem to be putting out enough heat no matter how high I turn it up. The fire looks good, there is about an inch of Ash at the end of the grate. It just doesn't seem to be getting as hot as before the outage. Ideas?

Ash in a horizontal stovepipe.
Squirrel cage combustion blower vanes need a good cleaning.
If the grates have holes they may need a cleaning.
One other but probably a rare occurrence, the blower motor got hurt and isn't spinning fast enough.
That's all I've got for now.

Pictures would help a lot. Take interior, and exterior pictures. Pictures of fire, stovepipe, hopper, stoker, etc.. Good picture of fire being priority.
