I was never able to get the most out of my koker lite. Even with the feed screw maxed out, I always had about 4" of ash at the end of the grate. After trying several different things that didnt work all that well. I decided to make a upgrade. The feed motor from a koker 160 will mount right into the koker lite. A regular koker 160 feed motor turns at a rate of 1.5rpm where as the koker lite is 1rpm. After a good mid season cleaning i fired my unit back up and reset the feed screw at the factory setting 4 turns out from max. Oh my goodness stoves got the heart of a lion now.

Just thought that I would put that out there for anyone needed a bit more punch out of the lite.

If you time it, it might be faster than 1.5 RPM. Mine goes around in 34 seconds which I think is closer to 1.75 RPM. Fyi, my stoker is about 8.5 turns out so check yours after a long heat call to make sure it's not pushing burning coals off the end.

I've looked at it a few times and it seems okay for now. It's going to get cold the next few days so I'll check it out again.

If you get a chance, time a revolution. I'm curious if it is 1.75 and not 1.5. I also bought a spare motor from Keystoker and it goes around in 34 seconds too...

34 seconds for any one following... colder today. My ash line was about 1/2"wide so I backed it out 1 turn or a total of 6out.

Good deal... Just wanted to make sure you knew it was even faster than advertised so you double checked your feed rate. It's great that it's throwing good heat now. Thanks for checking the RPM.

Before when I had the unit wide open Max feed Max combustion blower I was sitting about 425 degrees on the front of the Furnace. Before I started backing the unit down with my half inch of Ash on a long call I was close to 600 Degrees.

Do the 160 and 160 Lite both use the same size convection blower?

Or do you still have a Lite blower?

So maybe could be a mismatch w/ that higher output modification burner and still keeping a Lite blower. :annoyed:

Making more heat but not enough blower to 'wash' it all off...wasting some heat up chimney.

As per keystoker website the joker lite us listed as 105,000btu with a 1000cfm blower fan.

Temp on the power vent is around 150*

Nanometer is still sitting at -.02 to -.03

Temp on the cam is under 100* (will update on the next run)

Furnace is also wrapped in 1"ceramic insulation to keep more heat in the furnace and not leach into the basement.

2 questions:
I have a koker lite also. Did you purchase the new motor right from Keystoker?

I got my gear motor from a guy on ebay. I think he was a dealer in NY. It was just easier than making the trip to my local dealer.

I'm sure keystoker would let you order direct too. Just note you might need a new nylon cam or screws depending o what shape yours are in.
