The blower motor on my channing iii stopped today. Took it off and cleaned it. Sometimes it will stay on but on low it struggles. I'm assuming it's going out. What's a good replacement? Thanks

Did you oil it also, ? that helps the longevity of them. usually a couple small holes on each end of the motor for oil sometime on the bottom dependin on hows it mounted. use good 3 in 1 Motor Oil.

if you have model number, just google or look electricmotorwarehouse.com
You can usually find and exact replacement using the model number.

Well worth a try. I don't use my table saw very often. A few years back, the motor just froze up. I found the oil ports and squirted some in, and it's been fine since then.

Thanks for the replies. I spoke with them at the warehouse and they said nothing today will work with the speed control. That I would have to look for a different option blower. I'm confused

What are the motor specs you are wanting to replace? Can you post a picture?

It's a fasco b54227. I'm at work so I can't post a pic now but they do all say not for a variable speed control

Here's the deal, electrically speaking, it is a "shaded pole" motor.

The replacement motor, electrically speaking, is a "shaded pole" motor.

Soooooo, whatever the original motor was able to DO a same type replacement motor will be able to DO.

Don't be Skerred...For some reason be it warranty, make things idiot proof or whatever, this misnomer gets tagged all over the place.

I'm not talking out of my hat here...I have done this myself... bought these motors with this TAG and have had them run perfectly.

On a side note...If you can source a "PSC" motor instead of the "shaded pole" you will be set for a decade or 2 and use 1/2 the watts, 1/2 the heat and w/ better bearings too.

That is a Bargain Nobody should pass up. ;)

Awesome! Thanks for the reply. Any idea of where to come up with a Psc motor? Not sure what that is but I'll take your word for it.
