My mother has a condo with just under 1000sqft. She heats with forced hot air/ natural gas. Not sure what the BTU rating is on her current unit. She also has a gas hot water heater. I had thought of suggesting tying a stoker stove with a hot water coil into the duct work to heat the house and hot water. The Condo is fairly well insulated with newer doors and windows.

What stove would you suggest?
I can't find anything in this post about the current unit being inadequate. I think ASea is feeling grateful that he can enjoy the heat from coal... & he just wants his mother to enjoy the best too. :)

Unfortunately, sometimes the best is not the best for certain applications.
