Stoker Coal Boiler: Reading Lehigh 96C

Post by RedBear13 » Fri. Dec. 29, 2017 2:12 pm

Hello. I have found a great amount of information in the forums so Thank You. I am relatively new to using a Reading Coal Stove so please forgive me is I use the wrong terms. I have noticed bits of unburned coal in the ashes. I have adjusted the red tab to slow down the push rate. I guess I have one of the older models where everything is controlled from a dial that one end plugs into the stove's blower and sled arm and the other end to the outlet. Today I noticed a very small (it made me think my eye sight was going) inside the remote. What does this do? Will it slow down the sled? Thanks.

Welcome.
You'll always have some unburnt coal in your ashes, that's typical on most stoves. some have a little more than others. it's rides along the sides or just doesn't get burnt somehow. Not sure on the adjustments on your stove.
