Bought a stoker stove for $250. Looks like a keystomer but has a paddle not a pusher.
I'm guessing someone modified it. Not sure how it works but am going to clean it up
Lube all the fan bearings and then fire it up. I have a keystoker hearth model
With the pusher plate. The grates are different between these 2 as well.
The flue outlet at the bottom is welded shut and has one on top. I have a suspicion that the top was originally a hole for duct pipe for heat. Insode the box that are 2 steel channels that traverse up was side and pull the gasses from the bottom and direct to the top outlet which is a small chamber onside.at the top
who makes this?.
I had a stove just like that and darned if I can remember the name. It was embossed into the glass in the top door. The stove was a good stove. Only problem I ever ran into with it was if a large piece of coal came into the throat where the paddle was at it would just sit on top and block any other coal from coming in. Make sure you grease that top door handle or it will freeze up on you requiring liberal amounts of penetrating oil and tapping. Don't horse it if it does get stuck. Patience will win the day.

Looks like a C&D Stove made in Clearfield PA. My buddy bought one a couple of years ago it worked well once we worked a few links out.
Thanks for the reply. Its possible..I did find a manual for an alaska stoker and the mechanism looks very similar. I made a new paddle with bushing at work out of stainless. Seems to run ok during my test. From what I see, it looks like the paddle was originally a half moon shape.

I think his paddle was straight as well. I know we replaced some of the linkage parts with yoke fittings. If a larger piece of coal got stuck in paddle it was breaking linkage parts. We also ran it on a plug in rheostat to control the speed. There isn't much info available for them, but it's a pretty straight forward mechanism once you look at it.
