Hand Fed Coal Stove: Harman TLC 2000

Post by NYCoaler » Tue. Aug. 22, 2017 8:33 am

Found a used Console III on craiglist. Stove was purchased new in 2005 seems to be in decent condition, looks like it could use a new coat of paint. Asking price is 1200, is this a fair price I've look around online and have seen a few between 500-1000 in similar condition. I am planning on using it with a power vent in my house upstairs. I currently have a Harman TLC 2000 in the basement. What are somethings to check out when looking a 10+ year old stove? What would need replacing, gaskets, ect? Thanks.

I agree price seems high, esp. if not already gone over. Things to check include condition of hopper, motors and glass.

Thanks, did a little more looking around. Found another one a few years old for 500. People are moving and want to get rid of it, gonna go take a look at it seems to be in good shape.
