Hot Air Coal Stoker Stove: Alaska Channing III

Post by GettingStoked » Fri. Aug. 11, 2017 8:21 pm

Good evening all... I was wondering if anyone has info regarding the removal and maintenance of the three motors on the Alaska channing III stove. Convection, combustion and auger. I believe the convection motor is pretty straight forward, remove and can be oiled from the back side. But not sure about the others... I've greased the auger fitting but not sure if there is more I should be doing? Any advise or instructions (written or video) would be greatly appreciated. Hope to get this done over the next couple of days. Thanks for the help.

The combustion motor on my 10 year old kast console drops down by removing an underside bolt. I asked Alaska last year about motor maintenance and they said compressed air if I wanted to remove any buildup on the motors that would cause heat to be retained.
