Yes the * degree drop is in boiler bucket boiler. Boiler sets app 110' from house and then one zone is right there, the basement zone, the main house zone is appx 50' away running thru partial basement and partial crawl space. Pipes are 1" pex and have pipe insulation on them

I have no idea how guys do these in their basement. My furnace room is black withal dust, can not imagine that in my house anywhere.

I have considered buying 2 leisureliness as I already have 2 chimneys and using them and supplement with LP/heat pump if need be

Only 2 ways to save coal & still heat all of your house...
Move the EFM into your basement, but you have already stated your dislikes with it's troublesome shear pins.

Buy a headache free & trouble free flatbed stoker ,install it into your basement & sell the EFM trouble maker. Easy street ahead.

That is easy to figure out the data points for that, is there a formula to enter in the data?
Since the bin is 8' long 4' deep and 5' wide, it is thought to tell how much coal is used. I can this weekend, when it warms u;p to 70, rake it level and get an idea that way

A quick and dirty method is to just let the EFM run for a day with the loop at temperature, and no heat calls from the house. Pretty much anything over 15-20 lbs is going into the ground.

An hour meter on the stoker motor is the easiest way to gauge how much coal you are burning.

Well I lift the bag up in the air outside the building with skid steer and it then falls out of the bag into the coal chute I built. And then as it gets low in bin I have to shovel over to worm entry point once a week. Each time I open door and set fan there as it sucks some of the dust out, still have to wear mask.

I also have never but a manometer on this system

If coal dust would be an issue with EFM in your basement...

WHY WOULD COAL DUST BE A NON-ISSUE WITH A DIFFERENT BRAND STOKER/BOILER ??????

I must have missed something here in your story...

Or, I am lost in the strong winds blowing here at my place.

Ha! The wind is blowing strong here as well and it is slowing my business down! Stinks.
With a leisureliness I would have to feed the hopper with 5 gal bucket. If I am staying with EFM it better be as automatic and as need free as possible. That is why the 4 ton bin. I fill up twice a year, about 2-3 hours start to finish each time. So if it was in basement, it would be coming down a chute into a large bin. Plus my furnace room has a bit of sulfur/coal smell that I would not want in my house. Yes I know I would be filling hopper on stove every 2-3 days.
