I am looking for an inverter that will also charge the battery..
Automatic Transfer makes it seamless for change-over on and back off, just like first one from Amazon.

I have the AIMS 1000W in the previous post and it works very well. Switches to battery upon power outage and then back to grid once power is restored. The charging side is selectable for many battery types. We are very pleased with it.

Nepacoal on the AIMS 1000W how do you have your SW1 to SW5 set at, 0 or 1? I am really curious about SW5 & SW4.

Nepacoal one more question. What is the Charge Current Control’s function? And, did you keep at the factory setting?

See page 8 in the manual... I only use one 125AH AGM battery so I turned it down to just below 75%. Not sure what is correct, but since I use a small capacity system i turned it down. Seems to work fine.

By meaning below do you mean between 75 & 50 or between 100 & 75?

I've got a 512h. What is a good battery to use? I almost bought a marine battery yesterday but noticed it was already a year's old on the shelf so I passed. What would be a good choice for this?

I'd suggest an AGM battery. They last 10+ years. My last normal deep cycle battery lasted less than 4 years. I use this one from VMAX.
