Hi I would like to upgrade the combustion motor on my Reading Allegheny stove. Does anyone know of a good upgrade? Is anything compatible with other stoves? The motor in it is noisy and I would like a backup.

On my Keystoker 90 I installed a Dayton ball bearing motor in place of the factory sleave bearing motor. There also was an energy savings as the current draw of the new motor was about half that of the factory installed motor.

This is when I added a separate combustion motor instead of the single common motor on a Reading TriBurner stoker.

do you have a part number sierra? Do these motors have the crank that actuates the feed? If not, how would I run the feed?

So I would have a separate motor for the combustion fan and the carpet feeder?

For 2 motor setup one removes the squirrel cage wheel from the common shaft of the stock pusher/carpet motor.
Then custom add separate blower to provide combustion air. Requires a bit of 'tinkering'. :)

Some details and pics exist here already on this site, a Search should reveal all that.

Just search on the MOtor number, a Dayton or Fasco probalby has a replacement.
