Looks like you stayed warm last light..... . Or, you should have.......
Looks pretty good. Especially for a pic taken with the door open which usually dampens the flames when I do that to take a pic.
Did it keep up with the heat demand overnight or did the temp in the house drop below the 'stat setting?
You might be able to squeeze out another 3/4" or so of burning coals to shorten the ash band, it's not totally clear looking at the pic. But if it met demand last night, why mess with it?

it was fine last night I did turn it to 11 turns just to try it. I think anyway I am a bit confused which way to turn it. clockwise or counterclockwise is relative to the way you are looking at it. I tink maybe up or down might be a better descriptor as it isn't relative to the way your standing?
