Hello all,
I have the new mac coal/oil/wood furnace, hand feed. New Mac from Canada, just invented a pellet feeding system for there wood stoves, a little over a year ago. You just take the original feed door off and hang a door with the stoker init and the electronics and motor on the outside of the door back on. You connect an auger to it that is connect to a hopper. I was wondering if any one has this or any member here knows of some one who dose have one. In other words I can not find any reviews on this devise.
On another note, I burn anthracite coal. So, what about creosote from the wood pellets, of course have chimney cleaned every year. I read about creosote dripping up and around chimney, it of course is dangerous. I heard to clean stove a lot, mostly when in heating season. I know any fuel can cause a chimney fire, but is my coal burning a little safer?? Thanks all

Heating with Anthracite coal will not cause a chimney fire. Creosote will so if the chimney is clean no worries.gweedow wrote:Hello all,
