Coal Stove

I am new to the forum and just trying to save a few bucks with oil trying to find out which is the best coal stove to heat my house it is 2400 sq. ft. please send any input u can thank you

There are lots of choices, and I would doubt any single one could be called best. If you could provide some more info about your homes layout, existing heating system, chimney and any other details that may be useful in helping you make your choice. You will need to consider some things about the units operation and what you will have to deal with operating it. A hand fired will have to be serviced about twice a day without fail and stokers can go for several days without service.

I myself prefer a boiler (or furnace for you hot air homeowners), an option that you may prefer as it is a whole-house solution. It is more expensive initially, but the long term rewards are very gratifying. It keeps any mess out of the living areas of home and provides even warmth throughout, the bonus here is a warm basement and first floor floors are toasty.

You will save more than a few bucks too, I bet I saved at least 2000 of them this heating season. :)
