Coal Trol On Alaska Channing III , Fire Goes Out

it's late here, and as I got the coaltrol hooked up, I confused myself with the plugs
i have alaska channing III
i have a stoker feed motor, which was on the dial to control feed rate,
combustion blower
direct vent blower
fume switch
and convection blower
i always had 3 plugs to plug into the power strip or splitter. convection fan,
then I had 2 others from the back of the stove. some were connected to each other.
so I followed what I thought was right, convection blower is easy
stoker has the main plug, then the connectors that went to other motors, so I plugged
the main plug into the coaltrol. initially the rheostat dial was still hooked to it's plug.
i put the combustion fan and direct vent fan on a power strip ,and they got plugged into
the combustion fan outlet on the coaltrol so they run continuously.
after I got the stove started, I was reading the setup stuff and I unplugged the old rheostat
feed controller. then came back up and was setting the clock, min, max etc.. after a while I
went back down and had almost no fire.
so now I have plugged in the old feed rate control dial and am controlling the stove with it.
what have I done wrong? does the old rheostat control stay in the loop and then get plugged
into the coaltrol?
