Ash Removal System

I was talking to someone today who has a large apartment building and is heating it with two new efm 520's. The cost to heat it with oil was $26K per year, so I'm guessing it uses a lot of coal.

During the conversation, she mentioned that it had an ash removal system, created by the Amish, using grain equipment and it works very well.

I've had alot of people ask about such a system, but never knew that one existed; not at a reasonable cost, anyway.

Our efm dealer, Perry Webb, has any information necessary, in case anybody is interested in this system. I don't know the cost.

Wouldn't be that hard, we used a grain auger for moving coal in fairly large building to inside bin. My guess is this would only be economical and useful if you're using a lot of coal.

This is an automatic system to remove the ashes in an apartment building.

How about some photos of the ash removal system, and details like does it run continously, or have automatic sensors to turn it on and off, or does an operator have to switch it on and off?? The size of auger or conveyor belt, size of motor running it, and maintenance/wear problems with moving the very abrasive ash ??

I've never seen it. The dealer would be able to give you the name of the Amish who make it. I know we get calls about such a system, but I didn't know they were around. Sorry, I can't help more/
