Yes, that is what I have used. I know it started in '92 because that is when I moved here and that was the oil I was able to find first in the packed boxes and the spout on the container made it easy to drip lube into the oil port. Not very scientific I know but I kept that container on the shelf near the stove within easy reach for many years until it ran out and was replaced by another container of the same stuff.

Lube for our fan/blower/stoker motors has been discussed at length previously here.

A search will reveal other ideas as well.

That is a "gear head motor"...maybe it needs it's gear lube checked...any signs of leakage?
This gear head motor runs at 3000 rpm driving the integral gear box, which through gearing reduces the rpm out the shaft down to like 4 rpm.
That gear box has gear oil to keep the turning gears lubed.
There is a threaded plug up high for checking and filling and like wise another plug down low to drain the gear oil.

Thanks for the info. Please pardon my ignorance  , but I've looked at the unit and can't find the plug you wrote about. In the picture I sent you, and I'll attach it again here,
where would these plugs be? I can easily see the two caps on both ends of the round bar that moves the push bar back & forward. This is where I opened each cap and added three in one oil. I just can't locate the two plugs your writing about. I looked through the manual and couldn't find a picture of them either. They're probably right in front of my eyes but...

Thanks again for your patience. Hopefully someday I can help you! :)

Ahhh, might be behind that mounting plate...and you would need to pull out the whole motor to see that.

I asked if you could see where maybe some oil may of leaked out...does it still start every time that you try it and is it all quite and smooth sounding?

Good Morning - sorry I didn't respond before now. I'm out and away from home until Monday. I'll check the motor then and let you know. I was able to locate, and purchase, the Hoppes 9 oil and grease. Hopefully it won't be too difficult to remove the motor - I've never done this before and I hope I don't break anything...
Thanks again for all your help and guidance! :)

If no signs of gear oil leakage and noise reported has gone you might assume all is well in gear box. :)

Good Morning McGiever!
The motor did start right away today but the high pitched loud noise is still there. I have a stove guy coming on Thursday to work on some pipes. I'm going to ask him to lubricate the motor while he's here. I'm a bit reluctant to try and remove the motor since I'm worried I would break something else... I'm sure it's easier than I think but since this guy is coming already I'll let him do the honors. Thanks again for your help. I'll let you know the outcome on Thursday. Hope all is great with you and yours! :)
Take Care and Stay Warm! :)

Hi McGiever!
Sorry it's been so long getting back to you but I wanted to let you know that I did have to replace the feeder motor and capacitor. It is finally about time to fire up the stove as the night time temps are getting pretty cold and snow flurries have begun. Thanks again for all your help and I hope you stay warm and have a great winter!
:D

Thanks,
Mark
