Thinking of putting in a coal furnace.Spent 3500 on propane this year.Was quoted 6000 dollars to install a AK110 with a power vent system forced hot air.Any reviews on this model or suggestions?Thanks

Perhaps if you give a few more details on what you are trying to heat, where you live, etc. others will be along to offer you some advice. And if you really want to get answers, go to the LL manufacturer's portion of the site and read up.

I have two of these, really great stoves and I have no regrets. Saved my a** this last winter (that will not go away - frost tonight so perhaps it is still this winter). How are you going to duct this into the propane system? This stoves stellar heat transfer characteristics need a little care to maximize. Remember we love pics and we may be able to give you some extra ideas. How well are you insulated? Basement install, I assume? Where in upstate? To quote a venerable poster I promise we won't steal ya. Upstate NY winters do vary from merely horrible to absolutely ghastly. Don't forget you may get help here on cheap(er) coal supplies. Powervent installs are generally not hard, do you need to spend the $6000. El clutso here installed mine in under one hour (love powervents). I installed my stove soup to nuts in under three hours whilst consuming three mugs of my winter warmer and I'm no Bob Vila. It even looked good the following day.

Thanks for the reply.Yes it is going into basement.It would be duct directly in to the existing duct work that is allready there.House is brand new finished construction this past Dec.Very well insulated.I don't have to spend the 6 grand but thats what my first quote was.

As I said the stove install is easy but I am curious about the way you plan to add the stove into the propane stove ducting.
