thank you!! I love the look! so much cleaner then wood!! after running the hyfire all night thermostat set on 75(coal trol) I have two other thermos saying its 70 all in the same room no biggie but a 5 degree difference seems a bit much. as i'm only using half of the stove I only had the the right blower fan plugged in just plugged in the left one we will see if that makes a difference.

You will love coal , I was a wood burner for about 40 years with no regrets but coal is the way to go, especially at my age .char1300 wrote:thank you!! Factory settings for the first night I think I saw the feed rate around 55 coals 2 inches from the edge maybe it was due to me playing with it seems to have melowed out consistent heat ouput now

I would suggest putting a known calibrated or trusted temp reading device in the room, the coal-trol can be re-calibrated so the temp reading is accurate.

Where is the stove thermostat in relation to the others? Is the thermostat mounted on the wall in the correct position? If the FR was at 55 it was only calling for half heat so it must have been reading close to the setpoint. When the FR is at 99 you should have a full grate of fire with no hot coals falling over. But close. That will be adjusted with the Max.
